MATURITY Direct seeded maturity for machine harvest in California is mid-season (122 days).
VINE TYPE The medium sized vine is semi-prostrate with good foliar cover.
FRUIT The medium sized (75g) fruit are pear shaped with a small stem scar and jointless pedicel. They are well suited for the whole peel ‘Italian’ pear pack.
DISEASE RESISTANCE H2601 is resistant to Verticillium, Fusarium races 1 and 2, Nematode, Bacterial Speck and Alternaria stem canker.
ADAPTATION Under both arid and humid conditions, H2601 produces good yields of medium sized pear shaped fruit with an average Brix of 5.0.

COMMENTS

H2601 is an excellent variety in the mid-season pear peeling category. It provides superior color in this maturity class. It grows best under double row culture when pushed for vine growth early. H2601 features a full complement of disease resistance (VFFNPA) and the adaptability associated with it.
