H9665 has a medium sized prostrate vine
with an open growth habit, and good foliar cover. |
| FRUIT |
H9665 produces medium sized (67 g),
blocky shaped fruit on a jointless pedicel. The extremely firm fruit
have good internal color, thick walls, high Brix, and a high
tolerance to rots and molds. |
| DISEASE RESISTANCE |
H9665 carries the genes (Ve, I, I2, Mi,
Pto, Asc) for resistance to Verticillium race 1, Fusarium races 1
and 2, Root knot nematode, Bacterial speck, and Alternaria stem
canker. |
| ADAPTATION |
Under arid conditions, H9665 produces
excellent yields of very firm fruit when direct seeded (or
transplanted) in single or double rows. |
| COMMENTS |
H9665 yields a high consistency product,
and can be used in both peeling and dicing applications. The fruit
exhibit excellent mold tolerance, and have Extended Field Storage
(EFS) capability. |
